Against homogeneity.
What we surround ourselves with shapes who we become. We believe people should have more room to develop their own taste, think differently, and express themselves through the spaces they live in.
Our cities, homes, feeds, and imaginations are becoming increasingly homogeneous. Mass manufacturing favors designs with broad appeal, social media repeats what is popular, and AI draws from what already exists. We encounter fewer unfamiliar ideas and face more pressure to conform. At the same time, we see a growing desire for individuality that these systems do not adequately serve.
We want distinctive design to be accessible regardless of budget or space. A designer should not need a mass audience to get their work made. You should not have to give up a piece you love because it does not fit your home.
We’re starting with a few in-house furniture designs you can customize to fit your space. Long term, we want to make it practical for designers to bring a wider range of products into people’s lives, without the upfront cost of setting up production or holding inventory. Designers create the products; we manufacture and fulfill orders as they come in.
